635 & K5 Bridge Replacements Project

Miles Excavating was awarded the KDOT project in the fall of 2021 & completed the following year in the fall of 2022! This project included the installation of temporary crossovers for traffic to be maintained, then bridge repairs, improvements, and re-decking of the 635 NB bridge over K-5 NB, and the 635 SB ramp over 635 NB/K-5! This 5.7-million-dollar Bridge project was completed earlier than required by KDOT! Another feature of this project was the usage of True-Tech Clear Cast Forms! This was the first project in the state of Kansas to utilize this new innovative technique!
