207th Street & Homestead Lane Design Build
The City of Edgerton chose the Miles Excavating & Affnis team for the construction of 207th & Homestead Lane. This project had two key targets to meet- a conservative budget & an expedited schedule. Steve Miles himself was the superintendent on site managing day to day operations on this project, with the help of Butch Adams, Mark Keith, and Whitney Yates! This project was coordinated with not only utility relocations & new installations but also the construction of Project Mustang! Our project was completed ahead of even the original projected schedule, allowing project Mustang, and at the time of completion the start of project Cupcake to have full access to the new roadway! Another feature of this project that was unique is the conspan that was constructed and installed in lieu of a haunch slab bridge or a traditional style bridge. This feature saved on cost, and time for the project, but also is the largest conspan used in a roadway project in the state of Kansas!
